Granita is a minor character from the 1985 animated series She-Ra: Princess of Power.

Physical appearance[]

In the original appearance, she wore a magenta leotard and pads all over her arms and legs with a yellow belt. She had blue skin and a green rock backside that looked like hair.

Biography[]

Granita is a peaceful Rock person from the planet Geolon. Having realized that Geolon's sun was about to explode and destroy their planet, Granita and two other explorers, Stonedar and Rokkon, lifted off in meteor form to search for a new place to live.

The three Rock explorers landed on Etheria in the Valley of the Lost and found themselves repulsed by the aggressive nature they witnessed in the fight between the Evil Horde and the Great Rebellion. Even when one of their number, Rokkon, was captured by the Horde and taken to the Fright Zone, the remaining two Rock People refused to fight or hurt the Hordesmen, vowing only to use their strength to defend themselves and free Rokkon. They managed to do so with the help of She-Ra and other members of the Rebellion.

Even though the Rock People found Etheria too violent to settle on, they were running out of time to find a suitable new planet. Thankfully, She-Ra proposed that there was a place on Etheria where the Horde dare not bother them, Spikeheart, the domain of the Trolls. King Ahgo of the Trolls agreed to allow the Rock People into his domain, and soon the entire species travelled from Geolon to Spikeheart in their rock forms.

Granita Bio
Granita and her brother Rokkon were raised by their wise mentor and leader Stonedar on the planet Geolon until it was destroyed by Horde Prime. Although the Comet Warriors were scattered in space, Granita followed Stonedar, who had saved their precious Sun Stone and with it led them to the safety of another planet: Eternia. Upon landing, Granita was horrified to learn the Horde were in the process of invading. While Rokkon was eager to fight as always, Granita believed that higher powers had intended them to help spare Eternia from the same fate as Geolon. Her faith persuaded the pacifist Stonedar to choose to fight alongside the Eternians. After the Second Ultimate Battleground, Glimmer invited Granita and many of the Comet Warriors’ youth to Etheria where they could access Crystal World and develop new forms and powers. Alongside the Star Sisters and Queen Zal of Zal-Kron, Granita defended the barrier from Shadow Weaver and others seeking to steal Crystal World's magic. Later, Stonedar named Granita as his successor to lead their people.
