Nocturna is an action figure from the Mattel He-Man toy line and a character from the 1990 animated series The New Adventures of He-Man.

Martial arts warrior from Mida on planet Primus. Has the ability to deliver a stunning side kick as he moves swiftly and silently to aid He-Man in his fight against evil.
The New Adventures of He-Man[]
Nocturna was one of the earliest recruits to the Galactic Guardians, working alongside Hydron, Flipshot, Vizar and Kayo. Nocturna was usually stationed at Levitan. When the Mutants attacked Levitan in an attempt to captured Minister Werban, Nocturna helped to drive them back[1]. He later boarded an Astrosub to help defend Primus from a full on Mutant attack[2].

Nocturna did not often go into battle with the other Guardians and usually remained behind on Primus, coordinating the defence of the planet.
When the Mutant's final invasion began, Nocturna was based in the command centre at Levitan as it came under attack from the Mothership. Alongside Vizar, he ensured that every available Astrosub was in the sky for the final battle[3].
Behind the scenes[]
- Despite appearing prominently during the opening titles, Nocturna was the least utilized character in the series. His powers were never revealed, and he only received one line of dialogue, in the final episode of the show.
- Though the toy's hair was black, Nocturna was depicted as blonde in the cartoon.
- Though frequently told to be a martial artist, the comics published by Ehapa in Germany and as part of the Adventure Magazine in the UK portrayed Nocturna having psychic powers. These comics also swapped Nocturna and Vizar's appearances.
