Montork is a character who appears in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and She-Ra: Princess of Power.
History[]
Montork is a Trollan wizard and Orko's favorite uncle. He has a strong sense of justice and great love for his family, and speaks in a folksy manner with a subtle Southern accent. His magic is quite powerful and much more reliable than Orko's.
The first time Montork came to Eternia, he and his pet Gark were summoned from Trolla and placed under a mind control spell by the wizard Tauron. Montork turned against his nephew, but was able to break the spell with his help. Later, with some assistance from Orko, He-Man, and Teela, he captured the notorious criminal Azrog and his partner Spydra, both of whom he imprisoned on Trolla in a magicproof cell.
He later loses his position as the head of Trolla's magic council to a young wizard named Snoob, who actually was using his magic to teach Whiplash and was assisted by him on the behalf of Skeletor. Montork and He-Man, along with the others, save the day.
Montork is also mentioned by Orko when strange black flowers show up on Eternia, and Montork informs Orko offscreen that the flowers were created and grown on Trolla by Count Marzo. Montork doesn't appear in the episode though.
Some time later, Montork recruits the help of Orko and She-Ra to stop an evil Trollan criminal mastermind.
Star Comics[]
Montork also appears in issue #9 of the Star Comics, with a different look (though only his projected head is seen).
2004 MVCreations[]
The MVCreations comics include a flashback of Orko with a cameo of an old Trollan who could possibly be a 200X version of Montork.
