Selkie Island is an Eternian location from the 1983 animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
An island rich with vegetation, large mountains and populated by various dangerous creatures, Selkie Island was once home to a beautiful city of fantastic structures. Unfortunately the history of this city and its inhabitants has been lost to the ages. In the present, King Randor requested that his Chief Historian Hovar set up camp to explore the ancient ruins. Together with his son, Justin, Hogar found himself having to fend off the dangerous creatures that roamed the island.
Hovar sent a distress call to Man-At-Arms, who build a Variable High-frequency Oscillator (VHO for short) that emited a high frequency annoying to most animal lifeforms. Teela and Prince Adam, aided by He-Man managed to transport the VHO across the Crystal Sea just in time for Hovar and Justin to be saved. Once the VHO was installed on various strategially placed poles all around the explorer's camp, father and son could continue their archeological studies in peace and savety.
