Flogg was the leader of the Mutants, first seen preparing to attack Primus with his newest weapon, the Terrorclaw, until Skeletor arrived and attacked his henchmen. Skeletor deposed Flogg, reducing him to his humbled second in command, as he appeared smarter than his bumbling henchmen, Slushhead and Optikk[1].

Flogg assisted Skeletor in a plan to steal the Trifusium Crystal from the Titus Observatory, tying one of the technicians up with his whip. When the Galactic Guardians arrived, Flogg was waiting for them in the Terrorclaw, but Flipshot defeated him with the Bolajet[2].

"That's a happy thought..."

Flogg was the supreme commander of the Mutant armada. Though he is not particularly intelligent, Flogg was an imposing military commander who was most effective when he is commanding his Mutant forces from the Mutant Mothership. Flogg saught to conquer the peaceful planet of Primus, but was hampered by its protective shield, which resisted all of his attacks. Flogg resolved to continuously bombard the shield with his weapons until it cracked.

Eventually, this lead to holes in the shield, and Flogg and a small assault force of Mutants managed to land on Primus. Flogg's victory was shortlived, however, as he was repelled by the newly arrived He-Man, who easily bested him and henchmen and sent them running back to their ships. As he prepared to leave, Flogg encountered Skeletor, who described himself as a "friend" and accompanied him back to the Mothership[3].

Skeletor and Flogg came to an agreement: Skeletor would help Flogg conquer Primus in return for Flogg's help in destroying He-Man. Flogg also insisted that Skeletor that he was the one in charge, a condition Skeletor paid lip service to, at least, while also using Flogg's own arrogance and vanity to control him. As the various plots to destroy He-Man and conquer Primus were usually devised by Skeletor, Flogg was always quick to blame him when things went wrong. Flogg also appeared to fear Skeletor, and sometimes Skeletor simply intimidated Flogg into going along with his schemes.

Thanks to Skeletor, Flogg actually succeeded in conquering Primus after a clever scheme which involved a fake offer of peace and the "gift" of the Zeps, which transformed into powerful Anadroids which then paralysed the Galactic Guardians and brought down the planet's defences from within. Flogg was able to proclaim himself King of Primus and the Mutants seized control of the planet. Flogg then set himself up in Master Sebrian's home while he and Skeletor hunted for the renegade He-Man in the wilderness. Despite their hopes of a lasting victory, Flogg and the Mutants were eventually driven from the planet by He-Man's resistance movement[4].

As time went on, Flogg grew tired of Skeletor's schemes, and after being defeated in the Galactic Games, he decided to take advantage of He-Man's absence and launch one last, decisive strike against Primus, including having the Gleanons under Crita's leadership assist him. The Mutants were able to conquer Primus once again, with the Galactic Guardians and He-Man absent, but the Guardians soon returned in the Starship Eternia and managed to cut Flogg off from the Mothership, just when it seemed he had finally won. Flogg realizing he had finally lost the war, agreed to surrender all of his forces and sign a peace treaty with Primus. This act enraged Skeletor, whom Flogg accused of being responsible for his downfall before attempting to gun him down. Skeletor was saved by the timely intervention of Crita, and Flogg left them to their fate[5].

Newspaper Comic Strips[]

Flogg was the leader of the Mutants, who menaced the planet Primus. Flogg and his army operated from their headquarters, Moon Base Alpha, on the moon of Primus. Flogg's forces were powerful enough that the people of Primus sent a time vessel to the past to find the legendary hero, He-Man, and bring him back to the future to help them. When He-Man travelled back to the future, Skeletor followed him, and was immediately banished to Primus's moon.

After arriving on the moon, Skeletor introduced himself to Flogg and demanded that the Mutants now serve him. Outraged, Flogg ordered his Lieutenant, Lizorr, to attack, but Skeletor quickly demonstrated the full extent of his powers, cowing Flogg and his forces. Skeletor belittled Flogg's forces and attempted to whip them into shape. Flogg went along with Skeletor's plans, but secretly planned to betray him at the first opportunity.

Under Skeletor's leadership, the Mutants launched an attack on Primus, where Flogg personally fought He-Man, before being disarmed and taken prisoner by Priman forces, ending the Mutant threat. Shortly after his defeat, He-Man and Skeletor returned to the past.

Before Skeletor passed though the Laser Gate and arrived in the Tri-Solar System, Flogg the Terrible was the commander of the Horde's Denebrian Space Mutant goon squad. Directing operations either from his secret hideout in a Gorn Crater or from his camp city of Diobo in the Regula region of Denebria, Flogg launched raiding parties on the neighbouring planet of Primus in the name of his Horde commanders.

A vain and boastful bully, Floggs favorite weapon was his laser whip, which he called The Sidewinder. Flogg had a nasty temper and agreed to join Skeletor as his second in command in a secret bid to one day betray him and use Skeletor's power to take command of the Horde Empire for himself. Flogg later perished in battle, but Skeletor kept his decapitated head in a jar and carried it with him.

Commander Flogg was the leader of the Mutants of Denebria. He had once been an ally of Skeletor, but had grown tired of being manipulated by him and severed his ties with the overlord of evil. Flogg and his men were imprisoned aboard the Starship Eternia, but were released by Anti He-Man as a distraction when he boarded the ship.

Flogg was the last Mutant to be released, and while Slush Head lead the Mutants into battle against their captors, Flogg had no thirst for combat, believing that they were once again being manipulated by another force. With a crack of his whip, Flogg brought an end to the fighting. He-Man was relieved to see Flogg, whose presence calmed the other Mutants and brought an end to hostilities[6].

Toys[]

Flogg was released in the first wave of He-Man toys. Twisting his waist made him move his arms, so he could attack with his Energy Whip.

A second figure of the character was released under the name Hook'Em Flogg. He didn't have a helmet like the previous version, but his armor included a chinguard. The toy came with the following bio:

Evil Mutant Leader of the goon squad from the alien planet Denebria located in the Tri-Solar System. Flogg has a nasty temper and lashes out with his Energy Whip whenever he gets angry. He hates Skeletor but serves the evil lord as his grumbling second-in-command.
Mission: To lead his moronic mutant assistant, Slushhead, and the rest of the goon aliens when Skeletor commands them to attack He-Man and the Galactic Guardians from the planet Primus.
Battle Equipment: Helmet, Shoulder Armor, Energy Whip.
