Planet of Junk is the 25th episode of The New Adventures of He-Man.

The Evil Mutants make an emergency landing on an asteroid filled with old weaponry, so they disguise themselves as "Professor Galactica's Interstellar Circus" and kidnap the Scientists of Primus to force them to fix all the devices.

Plot Summary[]

There's a big battle in space. Skeletor and the Mutants are defeated, and retreat in a damaged Mutant Mothership. They're forced to land on a barren asteroid in the Carrus Sector.

On the asteroid, Flogg and Slushhead literally stumble on a treasure drove of alien hi-tech gear. There's some funny stuff while Mutants try to figure out how to use it. They fail miserably, but do manage to get an Image Projector working -- a device that makes a person standing within its beam look like anyone he chooses and Skeletor comes up with a plan: they'll kidnap the scientists and make them repair these alien devices.

Back on Primus, the scientists have each received a free pass to "Professor Galactica's Interstellar Circus," and decide they want to go. The circus turns out to be a bad joke -- with unfunny clowns and one mangy horse ridden by an overweight bareback rider. And the joke is on the scientists when "Professor Galactica" turns off the image projector and reveals himself as Skeletor and the clowns, horse and rider as Mutants. They grab the scientists, throw smoke bombs and escape. He-Man pursues them, but Skeletor uses the image projector to make an innocent spaceship appear to be his fleeing ship, confusing He-Man and the Galactic Guardians long enough for him to escape.

Back on the asteroid, Skeletor and the Mutants brow-beat the scientists into working on machines. Gepple manages to send a warning to He-Man by using the communicator on one of the Mutant's Shuttle Pods. But Skeletor catches him.

He-Man, Sagitar, Spinwit and Artilla arrive and manage to land despite their Astrosubs being damaged by one of Skeletor's new machines. The Mutants use their new weapons to defend themselves. Skeletor forces He-Man into a Energy Draining Chamber that will take away He-Man's strength, but Gepple has booby-trapped the machine so that it makes Skeletor and the Mutants weak instead. He-Man easily escapes their clutches, and, while the rest of the machines self-destruct, grabs the scientists and togehter with the Guardians they leave the asteroid. Skeletor and the Mutants slowly regain their strength and once again find themselves turned into circus performers by the image projector, which now operates of its own volition.

Moral[]

Sagitar is riding a replica of an ancient Earth bicyle that the Scientists have made. Adam of Grayskull tells Sagitar to always lock his bike with a chain rather than leaving it out on the street.
